Harman Kardon HK 3480

Has anyone had experience with the new H/K 2 channel receiver, the 3480?
How does it sound?

I bought one last year to temporarily replace my trusty HK 505 integrated amp that blew a channel. Was planning to use the 3480 until the 505 was repaired. Although the build quality cannot compare with the vintage HK gear, I have been very pleased with the sound. The repaired 505 now resides in my bedroom system as I have gotten spoiled with the convenience of the remote on the 3480. I guess it's not really a fair comparison as the 3480 is 120wpc vs 60 for the 505 but I do think the 3480 sounds better with my NHT 1.3's.

Thanks, stereodctr. The 505 is the best sounding H/K I have ever heard, I had one until it was stolen in '84. If you ever want to sell yours.......

The 505 is definitely a keeper, too bad yours was stolen.
