Has Plan 9 From Outer Space lost it's place as the worst movie ever made?

That would be "Robot Monster" from the 1950's which I have a copy of along with "Plan 9". I agree it's worse.

At least "Plan 9" is campy with interesting characters. Bela's last movie and he died during it's filming.
 
With the movies that Tom Cruise and Nick Cage have been making, Plan 9 is definitely being threatened. Btw, as bad as Plan 9 was, it makes one wonder how bad were the first 8 plans?
 
Before Rambo, before Oliver North. There was Walker. Weirdest WTF movie I have ever seen. Starring Ed Harris.
 
Then there is Flesh Gordon (1974)

In flesh Gordon there is scene where Flesh first meets up with Dr. Flexi Jerkoff and his space ship that looks like a dildo and starts with a Volkswagen key. And the line from Dr. Jerkoff when they are hiding in the cave on the planet Porno. Hmm must be some kind of Penisaurous. Than Prince Precious copping feels on Flesh, which is often, and it sounds like somebody grinching on a balloon. Of course there is the poor Monster who's problem is, how do you flip off somebody when you only have 3 fingers on each hand. Through out the whole movie you are laughing so hard that you miss a lot of it.

I see they have the uncut version of Flesh on Amazon on DVD. All I have is a video tape I purchased back in the 1980's.
 
Four words. "Manos, Hands of Fate"

Plan 9 is at least entertaining so on that level it's a success.
 
Agreed. Manos is horrid. Watching it the first time I thought is was a movie done to illustrate ALL kinds of errors and mistakes that could possibly be made. Kind of like a test for the viewers to list all the mistakes.

The guy who put the cash up for MANOS made his money selling manure. How appropo. Btw, thanks to MST3000, Torgo has become a cult legend.
 
Another movie? that's worse than PLAN 9 is THE ROBOT MONSTER. Worst movie I've ever seen, and that includes BATTLEFIELD, EARTH.
