Heathkit AA-1600 repairs discussion

I have a AA-1600 with my tech, the power capacitors dont have any markings, anyone know the spec for the power capacitors ?
the cap size is 64mm diam. or 2.5"
100mm tall,
spacing between screw terminals = 30mm
rail is around 70v

If the rail is 70V, the power capacitors between 70 to 100 volts ?
capacitance 15000uf ?

I think the original AA-1640 output amp power supply capacitors are 7500 uF 105V if my memory serves me correctly.
The rail voltage I am pretty sure is 91V.
When I recapped my AA-1640 I used 12,000 uF. The amp does have a soft start circuit so the increase doesn’t affect much when it is turned on.

The rail voltage is at least 91 volts in the AA-1640.
I would use at least an 80 volt capacitor if the rail is 70 volts.

I think you need to start you own troubleshooting thread in DIY repairs and not hijack this general thread about Heathkit gear

Looking for the building manual for the AA-1600 amp ? nothing out there so far
It's ONLY been three years since you posted this question, but here is the answer if you haven't already found out. An individual person bought ALL of the copyrights to ALL of the Heathkit manuals. www.heathkit.com and they post a link for him. I received both an AP-1800 and an AA-1600 a few months back. I bought and paid for the AP-1800 manual from the guy. Well done, and includes diagrams if he has them.
