Help What is This made in Denmark

I need some help identifying these speakers. They are made in Denmark and in a tightly sealed enclosure. They are approx 30" H X 24" W X 10" D
They are in a wood cabinet. They look to be 20+ years old.

Wait a cotton-pickin' minute! Don't the A 50's have aperiodioc venting? You said sealed, correct?

Hot DAMN!!!! They are Dynaco A50, I am on my way back in the morning to pick em up!! I just did a search and the phot is them.

Anothe thrift shop jackpot. Also picked up some Infinity SM-155 and ROR Acoustic Research small monitors today.

AFAIK they are sealed. I have a pair but for some reason mine have a mid range as well. All SEAS incl. the Xover and I agree...grab them if you can.
Mine were built from a kit and when I got them I stripped them down and redid the sealing and the Xover caps. Permanent part of my main system now. :thmbsp:

I seem to remember reading (here I think) that the 3 way was a tax minimizing thing. :scratch2:

Yeh, sealed, but vented inside from one compartment to the other. Fascinating stuff! Ah, to understand the technology. If only.

Yeah you're right...if only
I have all the components necessary to build another pair of these and I was hoping to do it in a more narrow footprint than the current 18" width that mine are...hoping for about 12"/13" (space constrictions)
Perhaps I'd better ask in my own thread when I'm ready to go ahead.

I do know however that mine are not internally vented and that when I bought my 2nd set (no cabs) they were taken from a similar setup. Seems that SEAS put out a kit series similar to the KEFKIT3 (Concerto) of which I also have 2 pairs.

Hope I haven't confused you byoung334....hope you get them... you will not be disappointed:thmbsp:

Hope this comes through...not sure of my cutting and pasting :D

I have a completed pair done in Tasmanian Blackwood (very nice) and just like the SEAS, I have the full componentry for another pair but I think I'll pass on that since I have too many projects on the go ATM so it's probably off to ebay when I can be bothered.

If the link doesn't come through just google kefkit3

Another KEF and SEAS man here?

Thanks, I am familiar with the KEF Kit 3 (and that website), so are you saying SEAS used KEF units? Seems strange.

My Concertos have good bass, but the mid is a bit colored, tend to use old B&W DM4s which are much better in mid and top.

Sorry to cause misunderstanding there. It was too late at night.
What I meant was that the SEAS company seems to have made available a constructors kit in the same way that KEF did.
I found my KEFs to be best when driven by my old Sugden A28 rather than the Kenwood 7100...same with my JR149s. Keep the Poms together? :D
Cheers

Well I got the A-50s and the Infinity SAM-155s home. I fired 'em up using my MX110 and Dynaco ST120. The infinitys are incredibily loud speakers. Un believable sound out of them at 102 w/m. Awesome speakers for rock music LOUD.

The I hooked up the A-50's. I was shocked. I was expecting an "AR" type sound. But NOOOOO..... Great imaging. Precise highs and mids. Good tight bass that was not over powering. Excellent sounding speakers!

Well now I have 6 sets of speakers and only 3 amps!

The A-50's will get a good cabinet clean and re-oiling. The Infinitys will get a cleaning and Son-Of-A-Guntreatment to the vinyl woodgrain.
