Thor-

I have fired them up to the tune of a Mac C-28 pre and the Yammy M-80. 260 watts of pure heaven. I listened to them outside this weekend, keep in mind that they are basement dwellers right now. I could hear them LOUD and CLEAR. I set my MP3 player to random and went to work. If you ever see a Turtle Beach Audiotron for sale, grab it. Its a fine piece of audio equipment. I was going to use a separate post but anybody can chime in. I need to cover some nicks/scratches/etc. and would like to bring back the shine. Any products to use? Techniques? How to go about doing it?

PS I also have a pair of D-3's and U-120 (?) to round out my CV family.

Cool geespot, that audiotron is cool is it worth $300?

I picked mine up at Best Buy on clearance, no manual or software. Manual can be downloaded and the software has nothing to do with operating the unit. I paid $150. I think Gateway sells it also.

It works well if all your track tags are correct. The optical output sounds better because the digital-to-analog coverter is probably not the best in the unit. My house is networked so my PC is on the top floor and the Audiotron is in the basement hooked to my vintage system. Its alot easier to run CAT-5 to the unit and 2 RCAs to the receiver than some set-ups I have seen.

I see that a firmware upgrade is available for Internet radio, I'll have to try it.

But some of us fossils have been around even longer. This site had been up about a year when there was some kind of huge server crash or something.

I didn't re-register until I had something to say instead of just lurking, so my membership date wasn't until Oct or Nov.

As I recall, we had two server crashes that left us with missing posts and pictures.
Oh well, these things happen. The site is far more stable and capable of dealing with big traffic these days. :yes:
