Since I see spools of wire solder, and solder paste every day, and have for the last 20 odd years, it doesn't do that much for me any more.

Unless you work for the Bell system you haven't been looking at those particular spools.

I used to love the smell of the wave solder machines here at the former Telex factory or the Ford Philco factories in Toronto and Philadelphia.

To me, those were REAL factories!

Pshh, I'm a true "solderholic."

By which I mean I usually find myself soldering drunk. It just so happens that when I drink I feel a need to get working on that electronics project I've got.
