hooking up an eq

forgive me but it's been yrs since i've done this.
how do i hook up an eq to my receiver?. i have a onkyo tx-860 receiver and yamaha natural sound ge-30 10 band eq.

If you have pre out and main in, put it in that circuit.

Pre out > eq in, eq out > main in

If not, then use one of the tape monitor circuits.

Rec out > eq in, eq out > tape in

If you use the tape monitor loop, don't forget to engage that tape monitor function to use the eq.
