kenwood 1986 - 00007.jpg if you look close at the KR-V95 ( I have one of these)... And see when you zoom in how it says monitor on the tape 2... This is how I have a 10-band equalizer hooked up to my stereo from 1986...
So everything you play through any source whether it be the CD record player or tape 1 or FM a.m. Stereo all of it gets run through the 10 band equalizer when the tape 2 monitor is on

i could but i have alot hooked up to this amp including cassette and 8 track....i think there is a "pre-out" on the back of the Sansui can i do anything there?

You can use the pre out/power in but that will be a noisier way to do it. Line level is a higher level signal than the pre out unless you are using almost all the volume.

There is a replacement tape monitor circuit on the back of the EQ, maybe put the 8-track there. Select 8-track with the Ross tape monitor switch.

Note this unit uses industry standard, ¼" TS phone plugs for the main in and out and uses RCA plugs for the tape monitor loop. If you haven't found the manual there are parts of it in a bay offering now that you can get and learn a bit.
