Like Ed in Tx, about 200 miles a month plus the occasional trip to Phoenix (100 miles away) or to Vegas (250ish) to see my son, aaaannnd gamble,eat and see shows! :yes:

My concern driving so little is driving enough to get the engine hot and evaporate the normal condensation out of the crankcase from the rich combustion during warmup and short drives, plus keeping the gasoline fresh. With an 18 gallon tank and only burning 7 or 8 gallons a month the older gas just gets diluted with fresh. I have to take it out on the highway once in a while just to use up the older gas and get the oil good and hot, and burn out some carbon too.

Work is a mile and a quarter from my house, so counting weekend running around trips, maybe 2,500 or so on my personal truck. The Freightliner at work, more like 80,000 or so. I'm not a 650 or 700 mile a day trucker, just day trips to Houston and Dallas mostly.

Odometer's been broken for years. Although the car is probably pushing 300k (1987 MB 190D), I doubt I even crack 8000 miles per year anymore. I live two miles from work. I don't go in every day, and many of the days I don't go in I don't get in the car either. I might do 100 miles on a weekend every once in a while. I like to walk wherever I can. I just got a mountain bike, so in the spring I hope to be riding to work most days, though there's a steep elevation to contend with coming home. To me, a good day is one in which I don't have to get into the car.

I used to deliver nuclear medicine all over the midwest to doctors and hospitals, full time, so I did that for nearly 5 years before becoming disabled. Now I drive a bit less, and usually to thrifts, pawn shops and record stores instead! I have plenty of time on my hands...

Everything around here is 45 minutes away (give or take) all secondary state roads, no traffic, a stop sign every 8 miles or so. My wife and I each put a little over 30k a year on our cars (60k for the household).

I burn through cars pretty quick. And fill up twice a week.

Now, about 8,000 with a 12 mile round trip commute.
