how much Denon DP-62L

Denon DP-62L Turntable. Works, but is missing the dust cover and the arm. Is not mint condition. how much should i offer?

I was looking at one of these recently and the Ebay pricing for ones in all working and good condition were $350 - $400 range (with one on the high side of $600). I think about $300 for one locally in mint shape.

One missing the dust cover/arm and in not good shape, hard to say, depending on how bad the condition, maybe $50-75 is my thinking. To replace the dustcover alone, the ones on Ebay are going for $200+, then the cost of an arm.

Have a look for either the straight or the S tone arm and the appropriate (corresponding) counter balances.

Do you see any on Ebay or Audiogon? :scratch2:

Another option would be to use an after market tone arm.

The arms come along from time to time and generally sell for $100-$200 each. The straight arm usually sells for more - although one sold recently for <$100 but it was missing a clip or two.

A few years back someone was making new counterweights for them and selling them on ebay. I don't know if he is still making/selling them.

You can find aftermarket dustcovers for it on "that auction site". There are also some NOS originals listed from time to time.

Buying all of the above will probably cost more that buying an "average condition" semi complete unit. If you really want it - get it as cheap as possible

With all of that being said - I love my DP-62L - it's a great table!

I have friends that own various models, Denon DL-57, 59, 62, (?) units.

They all had purchased the units new at various time.

The tone arms, head shells (spares) and counter weights are all still present.
