So old Hugh is Gone!
Another icon of the literary world that I am sure most of us warm blooded males read in our youth or hid some where in our rooms growing up.
Still got a couple of dozen from the 60s some where in the basement.
Used to enjoy the cartoons... and the occasional photo, purely for its art form
...and have this bridge in AZ as well to sell...

By "died of natural causes" they mean to say his wedding tackle finally fell off and he bled to death. One of the greatest runs in history. On a more serious note, he was an advocate of American Jazz, pro first amendment rights, civil rights as well as equal rights for gays.

He appeared on Hee Haw in the mid-70's, though for some reason, RFD-TV failed to run the episode. I saw it in the 90's when the show went into reruns as Hee Haw Silver. Hugh was in the cornfield with Junior Samples (imagine Hugh in coveralls!). Junior asked Hugh if he'd take him back to New York to meet some Playboy bunnies. Hugh looked him up and down and told, "I'm sure the girls would love to meet a famous hillbelly!" Poor Junior!
