Identify these JBLs please

thedruid

Greetings Earthlings
Can anybody identify these JBLs? The owner says they are 90's with three drivers they think. They tell me they purchased them sometime in the 70's.

That's really not enough to go on, IMHO. The grilles are not original. JBL did not make any speakes with diagonal foam grilles. So, we really don't know what's in 'em yet.

Cheers,

David

well, I'd be running the other way, unless the seller lets you inspect them, look anywhere for markings or labels. Seller sounds confused, lol, 90's and then 70's?? I had a guy try to dupe me on a pair of speakers 5 years ago, told me they were 4 years old and I looked at the back label and date was 1985, I said to him, so hey man, these speakers are older than 4 years, he did nothing but play dumb. I made him an offer and he shrugged and I said oh ok, then started to walk back to my car and he came out and said, ok ok, they're yours, heheheh! Victory!:)

I haven't made the drive to check them out yet. The seller listed them as JBL 90 purchased sometime in the 1970's. It's an older lady offering them. From the photo it looks like the cabinets aren't in the best of shape but my intention is to get them for a project if they are actually JBLs.

Yeah, they did, and it's distinctive to just one model, as I recall. Search the catalogs in the LHF Library to find it. Link us when you do, please....

Edit: Y'all are SLOOOW:
