Heresy went from a 16ohm woofer to an 8ohm with a a tap and cap change. Is it not so simple here because this 8ohm k33 is an unknown?
Unless you can do curves of the K33 vs. an off brand, like THD+N, another woofer will not work as well. The Crites stamped CW1526 works better than the cast frame one, however. Simulated and measure by me. Or you can wait for THD+N's results in a few weeks. Worth the wait.I would just buy the right woofers.

Anything less will require tuning the port to a higher low frequency, resulting in more output but at higher cutoff frequency.Has anyone ever built a Cornwall with 2x15"s?
If I hooked them up in parallel they'd be 4 ohms & would match the crossover specs

Yes. Driver, box, and port must all be optimized. It's science after all, with a little "salt to taste" thrown in.
