JBL 066 Tweeter (L166 etc)

Hi!
I'm a happy owner of JBL L166 speakers, and once I wondered why so small amount of JBL speakers equipped with 066 tweeter ? IMHO JBL 2405 got worse specs. Anyone ?

Because it was an expensive tweeter to make? It was replaced pretty quickly with the 044, and then the Titanium models.
