A Google says they like power, If you have a 50,75,or a 100 watter plug um in and see how they sound! They shouldn't put much of a strain on the amp.
Free is good! If you like how they sound better yet, if you know someone who needs speakers, good karma to give them away, they look kinda big so I wouldn't ship them anywhere, CL??

Don't know about the particular speakers you have, but I did find an interesting site regarding JVC "Wood Cone Speakers". When they say wood, they mean real wood, not paper, and that includes a wood dome tweeter!?!
The engineering behind them looks quite advanced, but I can't quite get my head around a wooden dome(pardon the pun).
