Keith Richards doesn't own an iPod

I have an iPod Nano (received as a gift) and an iPhone 5....no music on them. I use my cassette Walkman for that.

Things I have in common with Keith Richards........

Don't own an iPod
Not big fans of Mick Jagger
Can't remember what we did yesterday

:D

Hehe, same here. I gave the Nano to my younger brother, and have occasionally taken the Walkman to work for breaks. For context btw I'm 32 years old. Grew up on cassettes and CDs.

I have a 2nd generation iPod Touch and love it. I do sometimes listen to music on it when I am lying in bed at night. I really do not see what the problem is; I think it sounds fine. I am 52, I was around well before the Sony Walkman, had one, and no, I do not think it sounds anywhere near as good as any portable MP3 player I've ever heard. That's just silly.

I have a 160g Classic. Best thing for in the car. I can bring all the music I ever want in a package the size of a deck of cards. I'd be hauling a big box of CDs to get that done. I'm rather odd in that my entire music collection is either LP or digital on my ipod. No tapes, and I don't even own a CD player besides whats in the cars.

The important question would be if he owned an iPhone, wouldn't it? I mean, an iPod is so early 21st Century... I know it's outmoded technology; it must be... 'cause I own one (a gift from my kids).

It must not be, as Apple still sells the complete line, and the iPod Touch was just recently redesigned.

Wow, what a bunch of old farts. Even the 32 year old. ;)

There is nothing cool about getting too old to embrace new technologies. And the ipod is one of the defining technologies in audio history.

I've never owned one and probably never will. My computer is enough for me. I don't need constant noise in my ears when shopping, eating, studying, playing sports, working, etc. To me it's more of a public nuisance. Like talking loudly on your cell phone while in a check out or similar.
