KLH Model 101

So, I was thrifting today and I stumbled on a pair of KLH Model 101 speakers. Anyone have any clue about them? Google yielded nothing.

I found another thread that claimed that these speakers were after the hayday of KLH (1959 -1975), yet, I just found an ad from 1976 advertising them new. Did build quality really decline that substantially in a year?
