Hi happy holidays ,need your help klipsch kg-1 or paradigm titans, for rear channel ,i have full size fronts and midsize center and a jbl self powered sub ,any oppinions ?
Unless they are 15$ I wouldn't buy neither of the speakers. But thats because I don't need them. In your situation I would be excited to go and see those too.
So... Deffinetly not the paradigms IMO. Listen to the klipsch and test them a bit. Knock on the cabinets to feel resonance, see how much they weight, push the woofer cone to feel if it scratches, see if they have quality binding terminals (usually sign of overall good quality). If they are 8ohm (not 4 or 6) and more than 89db sensitivity thats very good.
Carry a CD/LP that you are very familiar of and ask for the seller to play it for you. If you like them get them.
Don't be surprised if the paradigms sound better, since our hearing and preferences are not absolute and objective.
