Large Advent speaker roll

[archie2]

I'm still shopping for original (Large) Advent surrounds for woofers with the masonite rings. Does it make an audiable difference whether the roll size is 15 mm or 18mm?

The last kit I got for masonite woofers was from M_sound on ebay, this question did not arise. Make sure the kit you are getting is custom made for these woofers. There are many good sources of surround kits, you'll likely get more reccomendations.

Depends on the stiffness of the foam, and how loud you play the system.

Stiffer-than-stock foams will make the bass slightly "boomy"; smaller rolls (smaller than 3/4" or 18mm) will limit the excursion just a bit.

Gordon.
