Leaking cap or glue?

What I find odd is why would only 2 caps be glued. Glue is typically clear or tan. But look at the bumps of crud around the one picture. Seems odd to glue these down since 1 is 6.3V and the other is 35V.

Okay thanks. Just looked weird, those "bubbles" around the base of the one cap.

Some glues can become corrosive. You might think about removing it, and replacing the affected components.

Sansui glue. Marantz glue. Pioneer glue. Glue has no typical color except to the manufacturers.

Note the corrosion to the jumper, lower left of the glue in the first pic.





This last pic shows the transistor heatsinks glued as well as the caps.

sure looks like glue as others have noted. The physical size of the part not the value is usually what determines if the OEM manufacturer decided to glue the part in place or not.
At some point you may want to unsolder that cap and remove the glue. Over time many of these glues or manufacturing aids became conductive over time.

Not always. Some are manufactured that way.

Looks like glue to me because the area covered by the caps' bodies is clean, and if the cap oozed goo, that area would certainly show some, since leakage is likely to occur around the caps' leads first. Also, cap leakage is likely to be sticky, whereas the glue will be dried hard.
