This thread is kind of a joke...but it is that time of year, and I do have some fond memories of spinning Christmas albums as a kid....

I've got the original Goodyear Columbia Special Products Christmas series from vol.1 through 8. (1961 - 1969 if i'm not mistaken.) As a kid we had vols. 5 & 6, and while my original "family" copies were trashed by the time i reached adulthood, ive since replaced all of them with minty copies ive managed to pick up at the thrifts.

Perhaps the best Christmas series ever produced.

There's always the Dr Demento classic collection, including such sentimental favorites as "I Found the Brains of Santa Claus" and "Let Me Hang My Balls on Your Christmas Tree" ...

And the all time favorite, the McKensie Brothers rendition of the "Twelve Days of Christmas". Let me see if I can find that ... AND A BEER!

The original Spector Christmas album, UK release, that was pulled from the shelves on the first day due to the Kennedy shooting. I only got mine because dad owned a record shop!

I came really close to getting the original Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer today, but had too many others already. I don't remember for sure who it was, but definitely a cowboy. Maybe Gene Autrey? :scratch2: I have A Charlie Brown Christmas, with the book, LOL. Yep, it's a full album, & "might" even be collectible. I know I loved that when I was a kid. :yes:

On of my favorites is this;

This is the Autrey Christmas album my family had. He wrote "Rudolph" and "32 Feed and 8 Little Tails of White" too.

Ohh that Chet LP is nice. I had a mono version for a year or so before I stumbled across a nice LSP pressing. I like Chet the musician and the man, but generally i find his LP's were worse than lawrence welk when it comes to white bread with cheeze whiz music. But his Christmas LP is an exception!
