She doesn't look the least bit out of place today, fashion wise that is. Looks like a photo from just a few years ago. Guess some "looks" are ageless.

Leroy Anderson, "A Christmas Festival"

I inherited this one from my parents. It is one of my most treasured Lps, as it is LOADED with childhood memories.

Decca Ultimate Hi-Fi, and in pristine condition.

Which is something of a minor miracle, considering the decades of use by children, on less than wonderful turntables that probably tracked at 12 grams.

Boots With Stockings is a favorite album. If I recall, engineered by the great Tommy Strong, ex RCA Studio A and B engineer. I like Boots. Recommended. The Chet Atkins Christmas LP is superb.

I was playing the Boots album today, while I was doing sub-netting exercises. It just sound so clean. My wife walked in to tell me something, stopped for a second, cocked her ear, and said "that's beautiful music".

I'm going to look for the Chet Atkins one.

I like Chet a lot, but so far every album of his that I've rescued from the bargain bin has been pretty much a yawn.
