List of capacitor coupled solid state receivers and integrated amplifiers

Welcome to AK and thank you for your list!

You listed 11 Tandberg models. Correct me if I'm wrong but the Sølvsuper 10 is a hybrid (valve and solid state) which excluded it from this list, and these four were already on the list:

Tandberg Sølvsuper 11 (15)
Tandberg Sølvsuper 12 (15)
Tandberg TR-1000 (35)
Tandberg TR-1010 (35)

I'll take a look at adding these six:

Tandberg Huldra 8
Tandberg Huldra 9
Tandberg Huldra 10
Tandberg TR-200
Tandberg TR-220
Tandberg TR-1020

In the mean time, if you could confirm that all six are solid state, cap coupled units that would help. It seems like I ruled out the TR-1020 before, but I might be mistaken.

Apologies for the late reply. You are correct that Sølsuper 10 is a hybrid, as it has tubes in the tuner section. The audio amplifier, however, is a pure solid state design. And it is cap coupled. The same applies to Huldra 8 and 9. Let me also add three more Tandberg models: TA300 and TA300M are solid state stereo integrated amps (TA300M has a microphone input) and Tandberg Tuner Amplifier Hi-Fi FM (yes, that’s actually its name). Solid state tuner and amplifier, and cap coupled.

It's safe to ad the Harman Kardon Nocturne Eight Twenty and Rotel RX-400A receivers to the list.

Thanks for the suggestion. Both are already listed on the September 10, 2021 version of the list, posted above. This thread has various older versions of the list so you may have downloaded one of those.

If I find new models to add I'll update the list again.

I believe the Sansui 800 receiver is cap coupled. I always liked the sound of those cap coupled Sansui's. Tube like sound. Had a 800 and 4000 at one time.

kenwood tk-140 (not "u" or "x" models) rated 50wpc, real world is more like 45wpc before clipping

realistic sta-75- rated @40 watts, real world is 18wpc before clipping ...side note, at clipping it rails out

Thank you both for your additions to the list. I'll add them all except for a few already listed (Hitachi and HK), and the Perfex. Was Perfex a house brand? I can't seem to verify that one, and honestly had never heard of it until now.

I'm not sure if Perfex was a house brand, it's made by Roland. I have this receiver, I know it's capacitor coupled. The amplifier and preamplifier sections are very similar to what's in the Roland made HK 330.

Thank you for the Perfex information and picture. It's a nice looking unit. I found a picture of a schematic for the Perfex RTA-530 receiver which also appears to be cap coupled, so added both the RTA-530 and RTA-650 to the list.

The latest list includes 275 receivers and 121 integrated amplifiers. We will continue to update the list whenever new information is found.

The AR Amp and Receiver are interstage transformers, but direct coupled output. Looked up schematics and no coupling caps.

Now that I think about it, I remember considering the Acoustic Research integrated amp and receiver (nice components) when compiling the list and ruled them out. If memory serves me, I also believe that I found that the SCA-50 was direct coupled, can anyone confirm? Thank you.

I notice you have several cap-coupled KLH on the list but did not see the 71. I remember seeing past posts indicating around 10 wpc.
