Panhead, according to Roger Russell, who was kind enough to communicate with me in the summer of '17 when I got my XRT 20's, they are definitely supposed to literally mount the tweeter column to the wall. The "feet" were for folks without that level of dedication, and the bass cabs were to be flush as well.

Thanks for the 1st hand account ,I was pretty sure the XRT-20s followed the same set up as the 22s but i was hesitant to give them as an example being I've not owned them yet & did.not want to post erroneous info ,thanks again .

Burhoe is also came up with the Silent Speaker which is also designed for corner mounting. Several home theater speakers were designed for wall mounting. I have Boston Acoustic Bravo and Soundware speakers.

I'd argue that most acoustic suspension speakers can benefit or at least are not harmed by wall mounting. Front ported speakers would be a second choice for wall mounting with more of a tendency to get boomy bass than acoustic suspension.

This is actually a great idea for a thread. Many people have tight spaces and would be looking for speakers like this.

Obviously the Klipschorn - or do corner speakers count? If so, the EV Aristocrat too.

LOL, K-Horns?? Leaving aside those puppies, most of us in modest homes ... don't have two corners in our living rooms?? But that aside and to your point ... those "Need" to be against the wall!"

I tend to think that most sealed boxers don't care about a wall?? But I tend to think if speakers have a rear port, passive radiator, or 360 tweeter (LX 5's) for me. But Bipolar or Panel Speakers, or any speaker, that produces significant sound from the back, those speakers don't do well with their backs against the wall as it were??? So I guess ... front ported or acoustic suspension speakers FTW, as it were!

Which Shahinian do you speak of?? Cause for me "The" Shahinian, would be the "Obelisk!" 360 sound and I don't think those would like walls??

Some of the Timeframes are rear ported, so while they they are still pretty flat and unobtrusive, they need 4"-8" of a gap. So they are Wallish.

The original Celestion 3's, not the later version with a rear port, was designed to be placed right up against a wall.

Then you can look at the Klipsch Jubilee which has an enclosed back, unlike the (typical) Khorn (they have enclosed some of them now as I understand). The Jubilee can go into the corner (if you want to garner the lowest it can put out), or can be freestanding, like a LaScala.
