Getting worse. At first my PC wasn't effected by the constant logging in all the while showing me as being logged in but now it's a constant

I'm really curious as to what is causing all these issues. I've used the 'net starting with newsgroups back in '96 and have been a member of many forums since their inception. I've never had issues like this. Having to constantly log in... especially after signing in, typing a reply, and then being prompted to sign in when I click Post Reply, is extremely frustrating... especially when the post is lost. I often look up info on equipment via web search. When I do that, and then click an AK link, I'm not signed in again. I sign in, make a comment or enlarge an image, go back to my web search, click another AK link, and repeat the sign in process. If I change the URL by adding https://, I have no issues. This is on multiple computers using multiple browsers, and one computer has never been used to access the AK website.
Https / TLS is standard now, and I don't think there's any legitimate argument against using it. I can't recall a site that I've visited in over a year, if not longer, that doesn't use it. I'm pretty disappointed when I read replies criticizing members for commenting on their frustration with their difficulties in signing / staying signed it. AK gets revenue from ads, and I'd think that having a properly functioning website would be important for that. AK is one of my favorite sites, and I hope this gets resolved soon.

Yes becase if you login to http://audiokarma.org its different than http://www.audiokarma.org (As far as the cookie goes)
Same with https://audiokarma.org and https://www.audiokarma.org (www opposed to NO WWW)

Mine has settled down for days now. Don't want to jinx it, but has been nice. Seems to be working for me on Safari best.
