Luxman L-580 US version of L-58A

Well...Also looking at a Luxman L-580 US model of L-58A. Now I am using a R-117. Anyone can tell me about the L-58A? Seller wants 300.

Not a good decision. Passing on a top end piece for a mediocre one. Not recommended.

I agree. If the board is not charred and the unit tests right the L-580 is a nice unit. I worked one over on Time Windows for years and will probably recap it some day.

I bought mine in Okinawa, Japan, in 1983. I still have it, still love it. It's the centerpiece of my system. Yes they get hot.

I own the Luxman that is one step down from the 580. Looks about the same.

I think it is like 50WPC but sounds nice.
I have it in storage bc I have so many in circulation right now.

Good sound.

isn't the 580 like 75 wpc? not much difference.

L-450 (I believe as shown in Wigwam's picture, top unit) is the 55wpc unit
L-480 similar height but different flip switch locations is 70 wpc (similar tot he middle unit in the picture)
L-580 is 110 wpc (Wigwam's picture bottom unit)
