First up is an MCD201. I've been hoping for McIntosh to work out the bugs. After my source problem is solved, I'll take a look at cables and potentially switching to a tube amp. The journey is fun, of course.

my experience with mcd 201 was good and bad when I first got the unit everything worked fine but there was a loud transport noise but I didn't have warranty on it so I just used it with loud transport noise after about eight month noise went away and now its very quite I could barely here it if I press my ear against the unit
I guess I got lucky
