Does anyone have or know where to get a side "McIntosh" metal emblem for a MC30?
I'd buy the whole amp if I need to. Thanks

These and their younger brothers in the MC225/240/275 lineup seem to be very hard to come by. To my knowledge no one has taken up the challenge of having replacements made - that I know of anyway.

Sounds like a business opportunity to me.....

Cheers,

David

They probably wouldn't be terribly difficult to reproduce - make a cast from an original, in something suitable to be chrome plated, and you're done. I'd guess the primary problem would be volume. Someone going to the trouble of doing this has to be able to produce and sell enough in order to have a reasonable price and sufficient sales to make it worthwhile.

Thanks...I'll check into having some made as a friend owns a chrome shop and a foundry is next store to him. I've never had anything made at the foundry but I'm sure they would have suggestions if I brought in the original. It would be nice to have them made up in the original materials if possible. Mabey I'll have the MC275 made up at the same time if there is interest and if the price is reasonable....

I'm in for one! I too have thought about having the one I have reproduced. If you have no luck Vendo81, I will look into it. John
