MCD7007 share between 2 systems

Can the MCD7007 be shared between a MC225/mx110 (fixed out) and a Mac4100 (variable Output) by having one connected to the fixed output and the other to the variable output?

Yes , why not ?
But you can do this too : MCD7007 variable output connected to the MAC4100 ( any high level input ) and output tape (record place for a tape deck) from the MAC4100 connected to any high level of the MX110 ;
This way with the both systems you can use the remote control volume to make the MCD7007 variable output acting on the both systems

Thanks for your reply! That’s so good to know and also a really great trick to use the variable volume on the remote for both 110/4100. I just wasn’t sure about if it would be okay to have the mcd7007 on and playing on the 4100 while also connected to the 110 which would be off — and vice versa. But thank you again for clarifying!

Only if you were getting your power from two different legs of power could this be a potential problem. I don't see that as being likely.

Do you mean two difference power sources as in only having one amp/preamp or receiver on at a time while using the CD player? This is really good to know thank you!

No, the power that I'm referring to is the AC power in your home. In some older homes it is possible to have power coming into your home on two different legs from the power company. In the unlikely scenario that you're powering your various components from different legs of power, could have the "potential" of some type of audio hum being induced into your system.
Highly unlikely, but worth mentioning.

No, the power that I'm referring to is the AC power in your home. In some older homes it is possible to have power coming into your home on two different legs from the power company. In the unlikely scenario that you're powering your various components from different legs of power, could have the "potential" of some type of audio hum being induced into your system.

oh I see, okay thanks for clarifying! I currently have the mcd7007 split between the mac4100 and the mc225 and am really enjoying it. I listen to it on the 4100 daily so as to save the tubes and then a few times a week I listen to it on the 225.

I did notice a the disc error light on before I load a cd. Then once I load a cd, it goes away and plays. Is this normal?
