Minimus 7W replacement tweeter

Hi, I just got hold of a nice condition pair of Minimus 7W.

Unfortunately one of the tweeters is dead.Does anyone know if there is a suitable replacement for these?

I assume it would be best to replace both tweeters?

Make sure you get the right tweeter. Check the number on the back of the cabinet. 40-2030a and b take the same tweeter but 40-2030c is different. There is a used one on ebay for the 40-2030a and b right now for 20 bucks.

The number on the back of my speakers is 40-2039b

Tweeter is SD-59 8ohms. Would the SD-13 I have seen on eBay be the same?

You know for sure that it's a bad tweeter and not a loose wire, or a problem with the crossover?

Yeah, it's dead.Reading 0 ohms and the coil is damaged

I can't seem to find a replacement anywhere...

Min 7s are so common, you can probably get a direct replacement with just a little patience. They show up on ebay often, and I know for a fact that there are some singles on AK's BarterTown.

I have bought several pairs of Min 7 for $20.00 or less so a tweeter for that......

I can't find a single replacement SD-59 but there is a pair of SD-60 tweeters (8 ohms) would they be a suitable replacement?

Probably :scratch2: If the faceplate is the same size you should be OK. Even if that faceplate is a different size, you can remove the driver and mount it in your faceplate. They're only mounted to the faceplate with three screws.
