Mitsubishi LT-30 question

One thing I noticed is that the engineers at Mitsubishi completely forgot to install a platter/tonearm suspension system. Bastards. The feet have rudimentary rubber isolation, like an Sl-1200, and are in good shape, but it's like they ignored people like me with a bigger subwoofer challenge than a footfall problem.

When done, it'll be interesting to see how it holds up in my room against the other decks with suspension.

bigwally - I think you made the right decision. I have 3 of these tables and paid much more for much worse condition. All are functional and one of my favorite linears. My current favorite is the Technics SL-M3 but the LT-30 is darn close.

Remember my comparison to a broadcast 'table, which do not have suspended plates. The feet commonly collapse on these heavier DDs and a couple 'fixes involve super-gluing properly sized hi-bounce superballs into the feet hollows and/or putting it on a suspension platform. Subs are a self-imposed problem and solving it with turntable suspension treatments goes with that territory.

Thanks for the support and input, guys. I have a DIY isolation platform that I made for my unsuspended Marantz 6350, so I can use that with the LT-30 if need be.

Once I get this thing going I'll follow up with a report of what it needed to run again.
