with the sad news of NBA relocation committee's decision regarding the kings, 3 wins in a row kinda cheered me up a little. hope they sweep the oriols. :D

Wish there were Braves fans in this thread. Then I could bust their chops about striking out 39 times in a 3 game series against the Tigers.

while growing up here in seattle, i remember the time when the braves were da shizzles of the major leagues with chipper and andrew jones and the amazing pitching staff.

The first place Colorado Rockies (what?) try it again against the Dodgers tonight, and on (ESPN) the Washington Nationals try to get back to .500 (what?) against Atlanta. Play ball.

From Fox Sports...De La Rosa saw his career record against the Dodgers fall to 0-8. ''It's like they know what's coming,'' said De La Rosa, who had logged quality starts in his four previous outings. ''I have to do something different the next time I face them.''

Well, duh. Here's my suggestion...start someone else:yes:. Preston

Jesus Montero got his first ever triple tonight, which ain't that easy to do these days. :D Ms are up 3-zip after 3. :thmbsp: EDIT: 5-zip now, after a 2-run homer from Morse. I guess that broken finger doesn't bother him TOO much now. :D 2nd EDIT: Those silly Os scored 2 in the 6th, so we scored 3 in the bottom, so far. They're changing pitchers, but it might not help them much, our offense is waking up pretty good here. :) EDIT: 8-3 Ms, to give us the series. They played a good game though, & it could have gone either way there in the 8th. But I'm glad it went our way, obviously. ;)

I just learned another thing about the Colorado Rockies. Dexter Fowler plays a mean center field. He just (on a dead run) went up to, and reached over the wall and robbed the Dodgers of a 3 run homer. Most impressive.

I saw that also, at first I didn't think he got it...then when he came down and displayed it... I thought hope the Rockies get him sewed up for a good long time!

He's hitting and getting on base really well too. His contract is through next year. Preston

Ms have a rare off night tonight, heading towards Toronto, then Pittsburgh. I guess you know what that means, steelcity. :boxing: ;) I did a quickie search, & it looks like the last time we played was 2007, so we definitely don't play enough to have an actual rivalry or anything.

Cards playing well early against the Brewers. Scored 6 in the 3rd with 5 runs coming with 2 outs. Lots of game left to play.

Dangit, I tuned in WAY too late, but yippee, we beat Toronto 4-0. :D Part of what threw me off was, I went down to Lakewood, on the far side of Tacoma today, & bought an old Bottecchia Professional road bicycle frame. I need to clean it up some before trying to post any pics, but it's a late 60s or early 70s frame, and has a rare foilcal from Columbus tubing (from before they started calling it SL or SLX, etc.), plus a Campagnolo sticker, which is somewhat rare too. :thmbsp:
