Mlb 2013

I didn't know the Rockies second baseman Josh Rutledge had the kind of speed and coordination that he does. He just made a sensational catch in shallow right in the 4th against Arizona. He's a big league player for sure.

Well, I guess they heard me griping, the Ms beat the Angels 6-zip tonight. :D But that's just the first of 4 games, so we'll see. ;)

at least we got good football team that's favored to win it all next season. it pains me to watch mariners these days.....especially seeing smoaks at the plate. he never fails to let me down.:sigh:

It will indeed be great to watch the Seahawks and 49'ers go at it next season, even from this far away.

I'm happy to say that the Nat's seem to be finally breaking out of their deep funk. They've held the Reds to one-hitters in the past 2 games and allowed only one total run in two games. Sweet.

speaking of nationals, whatever happened to the "beast" that we have stolen from you? he was so hot with 6 homers in as many games to "0" for million ever since the "pinky" injury.

Hard to say what'll happen, with the 'hawks. I hear we're recruiting out of the penal system now. ;) The Ms are playing the same game today as yesterday, loading up the bases & leaving them there. :sigh: EDIT: Woohoo, we turned it around this time & won, 3-2. Felix went 8 innings, but had to let Tom Wilhelmsen throw the 9th. :D ;)

Tom "terrific" Wilhelmsen closed them out again today, & made them look silly in the 9th. ;) 2-1 Ms today, giving us 3 of the 4 games. BTW, Morse hit another homer today, so don't count him out. ;)

Wish there were Braves fans in this thread. Then I could bust their chops about striking out 39 times in a 3 game series against the Tigers.

The D-backs got a couple of their A list players back yesterday...ended up taking three of four at home against the faltering Rockies:tears:. Rox still need pitching, badly. Preston

I'm doing my best to get on the Rockies bandwagon, but, the errors on the field are driving me crazy. They need a decent catcher as bad as they need better pitching, and the base running errors are unforgivable at any level of pro baseball.

Nats at Atlanta tonight on ESPN, should be good stuff.

I do agree with you about the base running...I wonder if that doesn't come from Walt Weiss and him wanting them to be more agressive on the bases. It's like you go for a job interview and they say you need experience and you need the job to get experience.

Wilin Rosario is young and learning fast...he is much better behind the plate this year than last. He is doing so well at the plate you can't take him out, they need his bat.

All in all it's a young team and new coaching staff, I'm surprised they're doing as well as they are. Preston

The Rockies are all up in the Dodgers business tonight 12-0 after 6 innings.

Ended up 12-2, Chatwood and Arenado might be keepers. Looking forward to the game tonight.

Their losses in Arizona where close ones and two could have been Rockies' wins if, as you pointed out, base running had been better.

I can see now that the cure for poor base running would be more hits, Rox had 19 and hit home runs, 3.:D:yes: Preston
