Mlb 2013

That's too damn cold for baseball. Good way to get hurt.

Cards playing the Nats again tonight. Looks like a few more folks came out to see this one. Go Cards!

ESPN earlier reported that today's game was the coldest on record. The shadows are getting really long and covering the field right now (I'm having a look on the pregame broadcast), and there's no radiant heat from a hot sunny day to prevent a rapid drop in temperatures here shortly. It's definitely a radically different temperature range than MLB players are used to, but I see no reason for them to not play in the cold. Cold and windy, forget it.

The Nats and Cards has to be the marquee game in pro ball tonight. I wish I could watch it myself.

The Nats need to get out of their funk. Their normally stellar pitching and defense are sucking for the moment (particularly on the third base side).

No, you're right. 15-5. Scoring differential of +42. First place by 5 games over the Nationals. They are freezing cold with horrible stats.

Over the past couple of seasons Atlanta plays Pittsburgh below 50%, which is an aberration for the league.

What is your idea of a good April?

Seriously, Atlanta looks to be stocked with talent and has more offense than they have had in more than a decade.

Settle down haha I'm just messing with you.

Yes they do, that, and the weather have certainly cooled off the Rockies...first game of the DH was close but not the second:tears:.

Hope the Rox can rebound today...but, we need pitching! Tyler Chatwood shows promise and goes against Tim Hudson today. I don't think the owners are going to spend the money. Preston

Day game today...

Pittsburgh looks improved, at least from what I saw last week. Pitching. I don't think they can hang with St. Louis and Cincinnati over the long haul yet, though. Definitely improving.

Yep, yesterday's first game kept me interested all the way, but, between the drubbing the Braves were dealing out and the number of innings already watched that day, I switched off the second game without remorse. I'd really enjoy a good ball game today, but, they'll have to slow down the Atlanta home run machine to make it happen.

It was tied 3-3 going into the top of the sixth...an error and good hitting/poor pitching??? and the Braves are up 5-3 now. Rockies pitcher Chatwood is getting schooled!

Rockies tie it up in the ninth...going into extra innings...go Rockies take state! Preston

I thought the Rockies were done when they didn't convert the 8th inning opportunity, but, damned if they didn't score twice in the bottom of the 9th to tie it.

The Nationals are now below .500 for the first time since 2011. It's a pretty deep funk they're in right now. Steven Strasburg, thought by many to be the best pitcher in baseball, is 1-4. Gio Gonzalez, a Cy Young contender last year, is doing no better.

It must be getting bad. I hear Kornheiser and Wilbon bagging on the Nats every day lately.

You guys don't know what "bad" is. My Mariners are bad. The doggone-it Houston Astros have beaten us twice in a row now, badly each time, and they're about to pass us, and put us in LAST place in the A.L. West. Now THAT'S bad. :lmao:
