Mlb 2013

I am surprised also. I figured they would be competitive but I thought they would miss Chris Carpenter, but rookie Shelby Miller has been doing a great job so far in the starting role.

My BIL lives in Belleville. We are going up to stay a couple of days with them and hit a game or two.

Awesome. Would be cool to meet a fellow AK'er. of course my tt setup kind of sucks, lol.

I got screwed up AGAIN, on the game with the Pirates. They must have started the game around noon our time. :sigh: But I see we won this time, 2-1, to split the series at least. We were getting a little momentum going right before this one, so a split doesn't really hurt us, just wasn't a huge help, either. ;)

It was a great pitching battle

O's steal 3 bases in an inning and win with small ball tonight.
Should be tied for first by the end of the night.......

Knee, looks like our teams begin a series starting Friday evening. I look forward to checking out that kid at 3rd that has caught your attention. Cards are starting Shelby Miller, a young rookie starter. Should be a good series.

It ought to be an interesting series. I was watching the final game of the 3 game set with the Yankees in Denver till a few minutes ago, and a rain delay has the game on hold. The Rockies aren't contenders yet by any stretch of the imagination, but they don't look like a team that lost 98 games last year, which they did. Strong team hitting will hide lots of other minor blemishes, and, they have both.

It seems that the Nats have finally awakened from their early season doldrums. Their pitching is looking good and their defense and hitting are picking up as well.

I'm getting a rare broadcast of a Nats game now, this one against the Cubs, but, no Harper or Werth? Oh well. At the top of the hours it will be the Rockies at the Cards, hopefully that will be a good one.

Cards rookie pitcher Shelby Miller pitched another great game tonight against the Rockies striking out 13 and giving up 1 hit which was a bloop single to the 1st batter of the game. The rest of the game was perfect with no walks. He has impressed me with every start he has had this year. Congrats to Mr. Miller!

was a broken bat single to boot

Raul Ibanez just now got his 3rd homer of the year, but it was a beauty, AND a 3-run homer. :thmbsp: 5-0 Ms now, in the 4th. I'm still hoping Houston has a good 9th. ;) EDIT: Nevermind, they lost again.

That was an unbelievable performance...hope Waino can keep it going tomorrow.

Final score here was 6-3 Ms. That puts us at 17W & 19L, & it puts the As at 18W & 19L, so if we can win tomorrow, we'll be tied. If we can sweep them, it'll get us back to .500. :D

O's come from 6 down to beat the Twins.
Besides his 3 Doubles Chris Davis hit an opposite field foul ball deep down the line that put a hole in the granite wall...... :jawdrop:

The Cards have loaded the bases twice in the first four innings, but the Rockies have held them scoreless both times, and it remains a 0-0 tie going into the fifth. Interesting game so far.

It is a good game. Both times the bases have been loaded Adam Wainright strikes out. Not the best situation to have your pitcher at bat with the bases full of good guys.:D

And now the sacks are packed for the 3rd time, with no outs.
