Tonight's game between the Ms & As has the potential to be anything. :scratch2: :D 2 young pitchers face each other, both struggling, so this'll be interesting. ;) EDIT: Man, it's 4-3 Oakland, after 8 now. We left the bases loaded in the 8th, so if we end up losing, it's nobody's fault but our own. But we'll probably blame their pitcher, Cook, anyways. :D ;) EDIT: Well, that 4-3 was the final score after all, but that was a good game, especially those last 2 innings. Coulda went either way. ;)

WOW GREAT THREAD, I just found it. I have followed the game all my life, hopefully I can be a asset to this thread. (or I could get banned using what my 4YO calls "baseball words")

Welcome. There are a few of us that love the game enough to post about it.'I see you are a Rays fan.
 
Rumor has it that Chris Carpenter (who was said to miss the year) has been throwing pain free and is planning on returning later this season. GM for the Cards said the other day that he will probably be used out of the bullpen. Time will tell.

Not me, I hate that game. :D ;) I was fortunate enough to have grown up near Pittsburgh during the 60s & 70s, and baseball has always been the one and only "real" sport. :D Well, there's football too, for when it's raining, but that's just not as good as baseball. :no: :D

LOL. :D We grabbed a nice 3-0 lead in the 1st inning today, on a 3-run homer from Kendrie (?) Morales. :thmbsp: Off to a good start, at least. EDIT: Welp, we're still 1/2 a game behind the As now, in the standings, but we won 6-1 today, for another series win. :)

Yes, I big Rays fan. i dont like our ownership, or upper management, but I see few other teams that play with this much heart.

Baseball much like music, is all about heart.
 
It was good to see the Rockies finally get their bats off their shoulders against the Cards yesterday, and I hope that trend continues against the Cubs today. The Yankees and Cardinals both put the front of their pitching rotations on the mound against Colorado, and it really neutralized their hitting punch. Time to get back to winning ways.
 
My Ms are off today too. I'm hoping Texas whomps Oakland tonight at least, just to tie us with Oakland in the standings, but then I'll go back to hating both of those teams equally. :D ;) EDIT: Well, wouldn't you know it, Oakland won. I bet they only did that because I called the Rangers to win. ;)

Felix Hernandez versus C.C. Sabbathia tonight (in about 1/2 hour), in New York. Could be interesting. :D EDIT: 1-0 Ms after 3. They almost caught us in the bottom of the 3rd, had a runner on 3rd.

Felix drew an "obstruction" error in the 4th, trying to cover 1st base. I gotta say, it was a good call, and he was lucky he didn't get hurt a lot worse. Don't do that. :nono: ;) EDIT: Aaaah, stupid no-good Yankees won, 4-3. Just playin', that was a good game. :)
