Mlb 2013

No score since the 6th in Cleveland, so we're going into extra innings. :thmbsp: EDIT: In case it helps to say it, I won't mind at all if Detroit beats Texas. ;) Well, congrats to the Indians, a 3-run homer from Kipnis won the first game for yas. Enjoy it, cause we're planning on taking the next 3. :D ;)

Well, thanks to Rockies' bats and errors from SF, De La Rosa escapes with a win.

As is said a win is a win, I'll not complain. Now, today we'll get to see Tyler Chatwood...hope the Rockies' bats are still hot. Preston

Boy, that Zach McAllister character is a slippery one. ;) We never scored off him until the 8th, when Brendan Ryan got a 2-run homer. 4-2 Indians now, so we still have our work cut out for us, but at least they changed pitchers now. :) EDIT: Rau-u-ul keepin' us in there, with another homer. And Smoak just tied it up 4-4, with back-to-back homers!!! :D EDIT: OK, we lost that last inning bad, no 2 ways about it. They had the bases loaded with no outs, & there's really only one way that could end. :( We gave youse a good game there though. ;)

Jim Johnson has just blown his second save this week.
This is not good news for the O's who rely so much on the bullpen........ :sigh:

Look out folks...Joey Votto has brought his averagve up like 60 points in a matter of weeks and is on a tear. He has realized his knee is okay and he doesn't have to baby it and is getting back in his groove.

Top of the sixth the Rox are up 6-1, thanks to the SF errors and Rockies bats. Chatwood is doing his part both at the plate and on the mound...here's hoping they can hold the SF bats down. Preston

It's strange seeing a team like SF playing so poorly on defense. Sandoval is a pretty celebrated player, and he looks like he's playing underwater when compared to the Rockies Arenado. Even Buster Posey is having an off night, which is rare. He's as good a catcher as there is these days. Keep grinding out innings, Rockies.

Giants are a good team with excellent players. That said, everyone has ups and downs, their problem is it's all coming at the same time. Kind of like the Rockies just past batting slump.

Sandoval is a great hitter and I'm amazed that he can move as well as he does. I hope the Giants slump and errors hold 'til the Rockies get out of SF next week. Chatwood is already in the rotation for the first game in SF, looks like he'll be staying, 2-0 and both quality starts with him swinging the bat well.

The NL West is not going to be a cakewalk for anyone...nor is any MLB division. This year is looking to be a fun interesting one. Preston

OK, Indians, you won the first 2 games, but I'd bet a dollar to a donut you won't win either of the next 2 games. :D King Felix is nearly guaranteed a win, & Iwakuma is nearly as good. I'm predicting a series split, 2-2.

Cleveland is really playing top notch baseball this year. Hiring Tito Francona was the best thing they've done in years, and it's paying off in spades. It's great to see him prospering there after the way he was crapped on in Boston.

Yeah, I'm kinda happy for them too, they deserve a good season. :thmbsp: They jumped all over Felix in the 1st, 2-0 already. :sigh: We need a little motivational speech from Wedge again, I think. ;) EDIT: Well, they chased Felix out of the game in the 5th, so I've decided to curse the game of baseball completely. I'm now a dedicated part-time bicycle rider. Unless we turn things around & make the post-season. :D ;)

Rockies are up 5-0 on the Giants...mid seventh. Nicasio six innings of shutout ball. Now the bullpen has to come through and the Rockies will take 3-4 from the Gaints for the first time in a long, long time. Preston

The Giants played stoner ball again today, but hey, a win is a win. Now they are level with SF in the standings. Good work. Tomorrow night they go head to head with Arizona, and they're one game out of a tie for first place with them. I'll be watching.

Cards beat the Brewers to win the series. Heading out of tornado country to San Diego. Hopefully we can continue our good play on the road.

Spent the last two weeks in Chicago and St.Louis.Saw the Cards beat the Cubs, then at Busch I saw the Cards split two with the Mets.
Wrigley and Busch are so different, but equally great. One is a baseball museum, the other is a modern baseball cathedral.

Sounds like a great time. I am lucky if I can see 1 game a year.

Me too!

Garland was not good in his last start...now with that out of his system will we see him go back to pitching like his first few starts:scratch2:. Stay tuned. Preston

The "no name Yankees" and the Orioles are going into overtime after New York got their fourth solo homer of the night in the ninth inning to tie it at four runs apiece. Really entertaining game to watch.

The Rockies and the Diamondbacks, not so much tonight.
