Mlb 2013

Nice one Rockies, very, very nice. A fun game to watch, with a happy ending. The recently called up young second baseman is really looking good. He and Arenado are in the spotlight and they continue to come through in spades.

Rockies are flush with position players, that can field and hit. Chacin pitched well until the walks and an error got him and the D'backs pulled even.

A win is a win, right? Preston

I was pretty saddened yesterday, by the Angels kickin' our butts 12-zip. :tears: BUTT, the season's far from over, so there's time for REVENGE, err, time to even things out in a nice sportsmanlike manner. :D ;)

Didn't work out well in Cleveland either

Top of the fifth, Rockies lead 4-1...need some more runs Rockies! Preston

ETA...they didn't get any more runs, didn't need them, final Rockies 4, D'backs 1.

O's play long ball tonight (Davis 4-4 with another HR) and take the series from the Yanks.
If it were not for a blown save in game 1 it would have been a sweep.
Looks like they are back on track.

Cards playing the Dodgers tonight on the left coast. I have not seen the Dodgers play yet this year, but am surprised by how poor their record is. They have lots of talent so I wonder what the problem is? NL Central has 3 teams doing well so far in this young season. Should be a fun summer.

Well, the Danger Rangers beat us 9-5 tonight, for 7 straight losses now. Oh wait, that's not a good thing, is it? :D ;) Don't mind me, I'm laughing to keep from crying. ;)

The Rockies finally get a monkey off their back...beat the Giants in SF, last night, for the first time in quite a while.

Tyler Chatwell pitched another great game against SF. He was helped by Michael Cuddyer, three RBIs and Nolan Arenado's great defensive plays.

Tied with Arizona at 27 and 21, go Rockies! Preston

Here's a link to a great play by Arenado...sorry about the commercial:thumbsdn:. http://colorado.rockies.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?content_id=27404341&topic_id=8877456&c_id=col

Well, I'll be darned. We actually beat Texas today, to hold our losing streak to 8 games. On a real positive note, it "might" turn out to be good to get the losing behind us, and now we can get on a long winning streak instead. :scratch2: Don't mind me, I'm like a twisted eternal optimist, or something. :D

Cardinals beat the Dodgers and Clayton Kershaw yesterday 5-3. The Dodgers showed signs of waking up as Adrian Gonzales was ripping the cover off the ball. I don't know how many hits, HR and RBI's he had, but it was a bunch. I haven't looked, but I think we go to KC now.

I wish everyone a safe Holiday weekend.

Glad they pulled that game off yesterday...AGon had 6 of the 8 total RBIs in this 3 game series.

Our Aaron Harang pitched a complete game shutout against the Padres today, winning 9-0! :D Maybe I was right about getting that losing streak behind us. ;) We'll see.

Are the Royals any good this year?

They started the season playing well, but have been sliding. They are an improving over their dismal performance the last 20 years. Pretty much a young team sprinkled with a few veterans. They are at least competitive this year.

A lot like the Rockies:tears:. Against the Astros yesterday, the Rockies had many hits and lots of players left on base and ended up losing in extra innings 3-2. They have three more against the Astros...hope the Rox can get it together. Preston

The Rockies lead the NL in the category of runs scored, and probably lead in base runners stranded as well. If (and when) they can start getting timely hits, they will win more consistently. It's a shame there is no telecast of today's game, I've come to look forward to watching their games this year.
