Mlb 2013

The Rockies got 4 more runs on one more hit than the Pirates had in their half of the first inning. This could be a crazy game.

Well, the only sports I can get on broadcast TV is the Giants game tonight, so I'll throw in my customary "Go Giants"

Yeah, right!

Cards can't get a hit when men are in scoring position, something they have done exceptionally well doing all year. 6th inning, Cubs 0, Cards 0.

Johnson blows another save but Davis comes through in the 10th. Hoping the O's can put a little streak together and help their playoff chances.

Well, a whacked out comeback by the Dodgers on Friday night against the Rays, down 6-0, then 6-3 going into the ninth, tied the game on 3 consecutive hits - triple, double, double, then a bad throw to Center field (missed both the shortstop and second baseman, even the center fielder couldn't corral it) allows the winning run to score from 2nd.

Its just weird magic!

Then a 5-0 shutout last night proved it was no fluke as Greinke and the bullpen kept the Rays out the whole game.

Today its Kershaw pitching so I hope the Dodgers open fast and give him some decent run support. Looking for the broom again!

GO BLUE!

The Rockies come home from a 1-9 road trip and sweep the Pirates, a bona fide contender. Today's game was a one run affair, decided by the third basemen of both teams. The Pirates 3b committed a throwing error that allowed Colorado to tie it at 2 runs apiece, and the Rockies 3b drove in the winning run soon thereafter. Now I'm afraid the Rockies will get swept by the Padres. Consistency has been a problem.

The Nationals' bats have finally come alive against the Phillies. It's probably too little, too late. The Braves are just too damned hot.

Big series begins tonight in the NL Central. Pirates at Cards. If the Cards don't start to turn things around it is gonna be a tough season to swallow. They have been resting their starters and have given them an extra days rest. Let's see if it helps.

I saw Marte drop that ball and all I could think of was Jose Lind's error in the '92 playoff's . aaaarrrrggggghhhhh

Dodgers now 2-0 on the Mets, even against their ace, Harvey. Now going for the next sweep, then fly out to play Phils.

Schedule says they are going to play only three teams with better than .500 records, the Bosox, Reds, and DBacks, everyone else from here on out is sub .500.

GO BLUE!

Nice bounce back game for the Bucs tonight. Liriano scattered four hits over nine innings and totally flummoxed the Cards.

The Nationals have now won 5 in a row with bats that have come alive, along with excellent starting pitching. Their bullpen, other than Tyler Clippard, is suspect, however.

Cards win 2 of 3 at home against the Pirates. It wasn't pretty but we will take the win. I am glad to get Yadi back from the DL. This season is lining up to be an exciting one for sure.
