More Data, Less Wank. A Eulogy for Zilch.

It is indeed a Sad day for AudioKarma and the Audio world.

My deepest Condolences to all his family and friends,

I chatted with Zilch a fair bit over the last few years and counted him a friend. I'll certainly miss him. When the ewave project started he sent me a pair of waveguides to get me turned onto the project. Those same waveguides along with the rest of an ewave system are now part of a sound system for a church in Honduras. His legacy extends beyond borders.

Godspeed, my friend.

Chris, let me know if there's anything I can do to help Zilchlab.com along.

Very sad news. Zilch was never above answering any of my questions, as silly or amateurish as they must have been.
A selfless, generous person. Rest in peace.

Godspeed Zilch..........So sorry to hear of this. My prayers go to family and friends, this is a great loss.

His memory will live on through the sweet sounds of all those econowaves.

Rest in peace Zilch.

This inspires me to build a pair....I have been wanting to.

THis would be my forever tribute to Zilch.

P.S. I think this should be a sticky...:scratch2:

Iv'e exchanged friendly jabs with Zilch over the past few years regarding my limited data collection methods and his "encouraging" me to remedy that. I had been looking forward to the day when I would proudly announce to him that I had actually moved beyond Win ISD/ Woofer Tester and added a mic and analysis programs. Sadly, I will never have that opportunity.

Zilch, Just so you know, your words were never ignored, just prioritized. I'll be sure to let you know when I get my testing set-up. It will now just be between you and me ;)

Rest in Peace.

Wow, sad day. I had no clue of his illness. He surely will be missed in many forums but will live on in posts and thoughts. You that new him well are lucky people to have known him. RIP Evan and we will all see you shortly.
Condolences to friends and family.:tears:

Pretty much anything he said about speakers was above my head. However, the straight talk way he said it was spot on and I enjoyed reading it anyway. The world needs more straight talk.

Truly a sad day. R.I.P. Zilch.

Wow. I'm a little surprised by how much this hurts. I wouldn't say that he and I were friends, just AK acquaintances, but he was always quick with an answer when I had a question, and he was probably the most responsible for my moving beyond the system I had into something better. Folks come and go all the time, but there are a few people that, for me, ARE AK. Zilch was one of them. Rest in Peace, man. You will be missed.

Truly a sad day here at AK, Lansing forums, and who knows how many other places where people gather to talk about audio gear and swap stories and lies.

I will miss poking at him with the "A" word.

I hope wherever you are Zilchmeister, that you are surrounded by nothing but the best speakers playing only the finest of your favorite tunes....:tears:
