More Data, Less Wank. A Eulogy for Zilch.

I too am deeply saddened to hear this news. I wish I could have made a visit to the Zilchlab as I just know it would have knocked my socks off. This is a real loss for the Audiokarma community. His skill and knowledge have enriched the speaker forum here tremendously. I will be thinking of Zilch, his family and friends as I spend some time with my JBL biradial horns tonight.

RIP Z-man.

This is truly sad, the loss of a good friend to us all, and to our hobby in general. As I read through the first 8 pages I was near tears, it will be a while before I can talk without choking up.

The very best way we can honor him is to follow his example -- kindness, patience, generosity, and a million other qualities that endeared him to us.

From now on, when I play my E-Waves (which is just about every day), I won't forget the tremendous person who made it possible. Thank you, Zilch.

no, this is just too sad. There are far too few people in the world like Zilch, and I'm not just talking about technical knowledge, I'm talking about his generosity, enthusiasm, selfless willingness to share information and help complete strangers.

Thank you, Zilch, you were a rare breed.

I've only been in the vintage audio hobby for about 1 1/2 yrs now and I can honestly say throughout that time I have read more posts from Zilch than any other. While we have surely lost one of AK's greatest contributors, his spirit will live on through the many, many posts, there's a little bit of Zilch in every Econowave speaker ever made and via his close friends maintaining zilchlab.com.

More Data, Less Wank, RIP Zilch

The audio world and Audiokarma are a little smaller, with Zilch's passing. He will be missed.

Rest in Peace.

Agreed. One of those people whose opinions and how he went about finding answers to audio questions deserved respect. Every time I look at my JBL Centuries with the Zilchplugs in place, I'll remember his contributions. May he rest in peace. :tears:
