Motorola center channel speaker resistor?

Amazing I haven’t electrocuted myself, yet.

Could someone explain to me why some of the 3-channel Motorola console center speakers (12 & 15” Golden Voices) have a cement resistor across the com/pos speaker wire connections and others do not?

My 3 channel console 12 inch bass speaker does not have one. Got a schematic by any chance? :idea:
 
Thanks, Cademan. I’ve only seen them on eBay when looking for replacements for my speaker (which I was able to repair, thankfully). The schematic for my unit doesn’t show one. Just curious why they might be needed in some applications. Here is a picture of one ….

I agree. Its not connected to the negative side. It's pushed onto its own terminal.
From there to anotherdriver.
