Good complimentary viewing if you plan on seeing Bradley Cooper's movie Maestro. This documentary covers a few things not in the movie including West Side Story (amazingly enough), and the Young People's Concerts (Lectures) which was the introduction the classical music for many growing up in the U.S.
 
Prob been menioned but just watched 'Echo In The Canyon' again. The early dayz of the West Coast sound up in Laurel Canyon in the '60s. I once crossed paths with Steve Stills at LAX (L.A. International Airport). I'd just flown in from Dulles in Washington D.C. in 1970ish wearing my best hippie garb and hit the restroom. Two urinals over was Stills. He looked me up and down and slowly shook his head. (grin) No, I didn't shake his hand or ask for an autograph.
 
Speaking of Laurel Canyon, just watched 'Legends of the Canyon' on PBS. Lots of great footage.
