Wasn't aware of this, looking forward to checking it out. A search on Roku indicates it's currently free on Tubi.

Saw this a while ago, it's great. Chuck was an interesting character -- everybody (all the legendary guitarists) credits him with starting rock 'n roll, and are deeply reverent of his work, and also think he's a jerk :). Very interesting character. Chuck used to bring people on stage and intentionally not give them a set list or even tell them what key the band was playing in :wtf:

It seems to be an international secret :) that Keith is actually a rhythm guitarist. Ronny Wood does all of the heavy lifting on lead, but for whatever reason Keith gets all (well 99%) of the guitar credit for the Stones. When Keith is in a situation where plays lead, it's usually pretty short and simple.

Not really a documentary. Movie with Dexter playing in France. Weak story line. Focus is on music

Kinda "music" and kinda "socio-polito-cultural" accounting of an era....

One-To-One : John & Yoko
(Mcdonald & Edwards, 2024)

Pretty good, especially the parts set in Greenwich Village w/ that effin cat who named himself "Dylan".
 
I haven't watched them all and I'm sure in 19 pages someone has mentioned it but Tubi has a ton of mediocre music documentaries.
 
A biopic rather than a documentary, but seems fairly historically accurate. "Nowhere Boy" last night on Prime (it's apparently free on YouTube also, link below). It's a 2009 movie about John Lennon's life as a kid, and his formation of the Quarrymen (which of course lead to the Beatles). I was very surprised I never heard of this movie before, because it's an excellent glimpse into his young life and the issues/relationship with his mother Julia. In my opinion it's a "must watch" for Beatles fan and I think still a great movie to watch for non Beatles fans.

 
Probably one of the best music documentaries I've seen. "Becoming Led Zeppelin" -- saw it on on a plane flight look forward to rewatching in on my home theater. You really learn a lot about how the band came together -- expected it to be screaming guitar, but it's just a very well done documentary that really talks about the mission to get their sound.
