it looks like a variation on the AMT1 Monitor.
Did you actually get them? What's the story? This is sort of a twist on that old meme "This thread is worthless without pictures"

A friend bought them and asked my for help IDing them; I thought for sure I knew all the ESS products. These seem to be a variation of the Monitor, maybe an early version with a top similar to the AMT-1? I've never seen crossover controls like that on an older ESS product either.

"Brilliance" and "Presence" controls (I assume it what it says on the photos - I can't make it out) were common on the AMT1A through D pyramids. I'm not sure about the "Monitors".

Busted into them and they have two 12" cast frame woofers! Not the 12" woof plus 12" passive like the production Monitor and AMT-1D. Here's some more pics, note the reinforcement of the baffle, (does that look stock? There's nothing like that in my AMT-3!) and the crossover looks just like an AMT-1D..

Look what ESS labs came up with!
Not a perfect match in that the speakers I saw have TWO 12" woofers and no passive radiator.
