N.E. Winter Doldrums Fest

Hey, it's Saturday, where the hell are you guys?

Carrying stereo stuff downstairs and getting something to eat ready for the group. Would have done it earlier but I had to unearth a big metal lathe someone was supposed to buy before dinner.

Alright, getting on the road in a little bit. I figure it should take about 5 hours with stops and any traffic so I should be there 10-11ish.

THere are three pairs of speakers in my family room (EDIT: umm, that aren't usually there...); after a dump run, I'm loadin' up the BattleVan.
Prolly be there in the shortly-after-noon timeframe.

Gots to feed the kids, dump run(dispose, not pick up) load family van and drive. 11-12 should arrive. Couple cords and I hope a power strip. Posters and some obscure vhs tapes Psychic TV anyone?

I got started just as I intended this morning only to have my daughter get sick on me. Ya'll have a large time as Sandy would say.

Mark I'll catch up with you sometime in the very near future.

Got your VM Bob; sorry your daughter is ill :-( We'll cross paths anon. (I am an "anon" kind of guy, if you haven't figured that out already).

On topic, here's the demo track list for today from Casa Marky:

I Got Plenty o' Nuttin Empire Brass

Okey Dokey, boys... another dump run pending -- looking for party favors! :-)

Yes, yes I did :-)

No treasures at the dump today so far. I'll swing through in the Battlevan on my way to Clinton. It would be my luck that there'll be a pair of K-horns or something there when the van is already full of stuff.

See you all in about an hour.

The one and only Dave (Grateful) will be swinging by in about 15 minutes and snatching me away from my warm apartment.

We'll be on the road shortly thereafter.

Looking forward to it!

fun was had.
many photos were taken but none by me.
John (in MA) took one of me, reviewed the result and opined "you look like an idiot".
"I am an idiot!" was my witty riposte. :-P

Wondered where you were?!

Hope your daughter is feeling better -- and maybe we'll see you at the March Markus gathering?

Rod and I made it back home safe and sound. Had a great time and got to listen to and check out loads of great sounding gear. I want to thank Frank for being the most gracious host as usual. Thank you also thedelihaus for making those neat klh badges (they look fantastic Paul) and thanks to Peter to for making all of us those laser cut badges. Hope to see everyone that didn't make it this time at the console bonfire coming up at Markus's. These get togethers are more fun than a guy should be allowed to have.

Laser cut badges!

Wow- another great New England meet!
Thanks to Frank (our always gracious host), especially for his assistance in my little veneering project, the food and the warm facility. Enjoy the "Flim and the BBs" CD on those badass Altecs!

Thanks to Paul / deli for the LPs, enjoy the Denon cartridge.

Thanks to motorstereo for the deals on the nice Pioneer gear (my weakness).

X_25, enjoy the Teac RTR and thanks for coming up and sharing the love (and dementia). We compared his SOny ES tner with the Sony HD tuner and it compared quite favorably; keep that one!

A pleasure talking vinyl, DACs, speakers, TTs, receivers, amps, music and all that other silly stuff we try to hide from our significant others with youse guys.

And thanks to Peter for the badges. He has a company on-site that does custom laser etching. He let each of us make badges on his awesome machine. They're anodized aluminum plates; now how cool is that?!

AND, Paul / Beemer - we missed your smiling face, we're all hoping your health situation clears up soon. Hang in there buddy.

...and best of all - no fingers lost!

JimB

Just got home and still smiling from another warm & fuzzy New England meet. How can you beat great conversation, cool gear, excellent food, and music galore? A huge tip o' the hat to Frank for the ultimate in hospitality...and a hearty thanks to everybody who made the day so much freakin' fun! Pictures to come...

I'm back. Amazingly enough with less stuff than I showed up with. I'll get some pictures posted when my ears stop ringing tomorrow.

Frank was a great host as usual. Peter(?) made it awesome with the CNC laser engraving set up--highest-class nametags I've ever seen.

And just since I'll forget this by morning: Frank, does this look like something you'd have a use for?
