Name that Wharfedale!

As a multi-Wharfedale owner I find this all fascinating as well. I have seen many versions of Wharfedales now and can hardly wait for the next discovery. :D

I'd recommend a pair or E-90's, they are pretty big and 95db @ 1w, they also look pretty cool, if you like 70's retro style.

The W80 has an optional Pedestal stand (#B68) which holds two of the W80's end to end. $25.75 in 1971. Also a roller stand (B69) for $18.50
W80's could be configured in several different ways; either close togeather or spread apart depending on how you wished to turn the "variplanular reflector". Tweeters appear to one out of the W60D Mrk II and one out of the newer W60E. These were part of the main Wharfedale line in at least 1969 through 1971 but are quite rare probably because they were odd and expensive.

Does anyone know what a fair price on a refurbished pair of these would be? A friend in town has a pair he may sell. Excellent sound and beautiful as can be. Thanks!
