I picked up a vintage turntable with this cartridge installed. I do not recognize brand's insignia. The cartridge is imprinted H100 on the bottom. Comments?

Looks like an AT3600 with a fancy stylus on it... similar to the LP Gear CF3600LE:

Archie: I only know it with the imprint that's shown in Walt's pic - but the "H100" on your exemplar makes sense, too, as it was part of Signet's "HiTec" line (which was a pretty odd choice of naming by Signet, though, as the carts in that range rather just were entry-level models...).

Greetings from Munich!

I'm a little confused, but I've decided to call the cartridge " Sam and Dave."
However,SA-708 says, "The logo is Signet, a premium line of Audiotechnica's."
And, lini says,"H100 was part of Signet's 'HiTec' line...the carts in that line were entry level models."

Is this worth keeping and putting a good stylus into it, or not.
I don't want to put a $100+ stylus in a $39.95 cartridge.

Considering that it is a Signet, I would keep it and get a new stylus for it.

This cartridge is kinda like a Pontiac T1000, which was the cheapest Pontiac on the lot, but theoretically better than the Chevrolet Chevette it was based upon. Signet was ATs premium marque, but this was probably the bottom-of-the-line half-inch mount Signet.

It isn't a bad cartridge; even low-end ATs are surprisingly competent. Replacement needles for these (Pfansteihl group 211) are readily available, but I wouldn't pay top dollar for one of the aftermarket hyper elliptical or Shibata styli.

Pio1980..."Just Hold on! I'm coming..." By Sam and Dave, man.
Sa-780: Thanks for the perspective. I think this will do fo the Pioneer A35 I'm prepping to sell.
I picked up a nicely kept Dual 1019 last weekend, which, to my surprise, has a nice Shure V15 II mounted in it.
QUESTION: What do you all think would be an appropriate replacement stylus for the V15? And, from whom to buy from? I may mount this in a second ARXA shell head. Just to compare to the Shure 97e.

Theophile; I've always been huge Superman fan. I have a Superman cape hanging in my closet, but I can't squeeze into the tights anymore! Ha!

HELP ME: I still need serious recommendations for a stylus for the Shure V15 Type II, where to buy it, and a serious price point.

Beat_Truck, Thank you. This is exactly what I needed!
I went to place the order at JICO, but when I logged on to PayPal to pay it took me immediately back to the JICO site where you make payment.
Do you know if they wait until your item is produced and they assess shipping charges before they allow you to pay? Or, is do you think it is a site problem?
