New Category: TAPE find of the day?!?

Grabbed this lot off of Craigslist yesterday.

30x Sony "Hifi" 60's
2x Maxell UR60's
5x TDK D90's
1x Sony HF120
1x TDK SA-X90

All sealed. Not bad for $25.

Does anyone know if these blue Sony "Hifi" series are the same as the older "HF" series? I haven't been able to find much info on them.

Also, I've actually been converted. Used to scoff at all Type I's. But after watching "Cassette Comeback" channel on YouTube and now having 2 proper 3-head decks, I have come believe they can make really good recordings.

Estate sale. Paid about $120, there are about 40 Type II's in there, so I'm happy. There are also 2 Type IVs, and a bunch of not-shown type I's. I really love some of the memorex designs. I don't think I can bring myself to take those out of the wrappers. Also a very cool Digitech gold reel2reel style tape. Look at those "Laser" brand tapes! Graphic design is awesome.

Enough tapes for 9 life times ;-) You didn't pay to much..! Indeed, memorex are very good tapes. And two type IV's and 40pcs or so wrapped type II's and that catchy reel to reel tape

Some later production and most current production type I tapes manage 20 to 20.000 hz. If your deck 'allows' it! And are extremely 'quit' on good decks with or without Dolby rec and or playback activated even

I torrented a ton of weird 80s stuff - like russian new wave bands, I want to get those onto tapes. It bugs me though - I don't want to even unwrap these, much less "waste" them. I was not expecting this type of problem lol.

Just purchased: However the Creedence Clearwater revival - Chronicles pre-recorded retail tape, I just tried to play in several decks of mine, turns out to be a sticky tape..bummer..:(

Although I got a hundred or so sealed Maxell UR 90's already and some 20 or so 60's, I thought why not and purchased just now these 2 sealed 90 and 60 minute examples for $1,99 CAD each :)

Hey y'all..
Got a short story for ya..
Went to a Estate sale Recently and bought some tool benches,
Later I realized they were full of Cassette Tapes.
Holy Tacoma..IM RICH.

Holy sweet jesus, didn't think much about your post until I saw the pics -- what are the odds of finding all those top-level tapes in one place? I had visions of you discovering a large box full of URs or something, lol.
Those are basically the two best (IMO) cassettes ever made; I have a few of each still, but man oh man you really did hit the jackpot, good for you.
