NOT HIGH! quite reasonable! A very collectible speaker that sounds kickass! I have seen them sell for 2500-3000. Shipping price is valid. These way a fair amout more than regular ns-1000! I bet they sell within a few days!

Second that. I believe that they are priced quite aggressively.
They are quite rare and scarcity commends a premium. Shipping is not high. They are what? 42kg a piece? I do not want to be the FedEx guy lifting those suckers. For all I know, they may have to be shipped freight.

Does anyone here know if the woofers on these have the magnet shifting problem when/if dropped?

Nolasally, have you heard these next to the 1000M's? I know that there is no difference between the 1000/1000M but these seem to be a bit different, with the higher power rating, different R and the carbon fiber woofer. Do they sound any different than the other 1000's? I know, there must be some discussion on this on the forum but what is your 2c?

Hmm...not sure that I follow you.... yes, the listing's verbiage is less than ideal but I do understand that the speakers are sold in pairs and fully functional.

My earlier question, before this trend was moved to Dollars and Sense, was if the woofers of these speakers have the shifting magnet problem if accidentally dropped.
You see, the seller has listed them in good faith as working, but if they get dropped during transport and the woofer magnet shifts (an apparent issue with some of the other NS-1000's), who is it to blame? How are you going to claim your loos.

I do believe these as well as any speaker if dropped can suffer magnet shift. The 1000x I believed were not sold in US. Also newer than original NSA-1000 and had a much shorter production run. As for sound. They are similar to NS-1000 sound but more refined. Better woofer that goes lower. Time aligned drivers and better built cabs as well as improved crossover for more power handling. It's like comparing pioneer s-910 to dss-9.
